It's difficult for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The highest peaks have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has won seven Cricket World Cups, plus an additional six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a team that has achieved everything.

The fact it required up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the pitchers that have worn canary yellow over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the opportunity.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a chance to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Initially recognized as the teenage relative of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her nation failed to win either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

A T20 championship victory happened three months after her bow and seven global championships have come from 10 tries across formats.

She got to fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 as she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was removed her side required another 66 at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Pursuing 330 is new territory so I'm happy we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, should it happen, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the last rival teams at this championship need to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this success following win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite being 76-7 at a certain moment.
